Looking for some advice

I am new to this sport. Just starting out what line of dogs would you go with. What stud dog would be the best to start with. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Don't believe nobody, if you can't drive less than 5 hours hunt with the dogs or buy them with a guarantee do not buy them. There are alot of good dog's out there shop around go watch some dog's run most hunter's will be glad to let you come along most important you gonna feed em they have to make you happy. Me personally I like Northway and Branko blood but would lean more towards the Northway.

Welcome new guy

If you are new to the sport....don't worry about what line or whos kennel it came from. Go to some hunts or trials and look at the hounds work. When you see what your looking for talk with the breeder/handeler. We also have Branko and like them. We have Blackcreek, Topnotch and Sundown hounds too. Just find a good solid hound to your liking and get started. As you learn, it will begin to come together. If you live in Tennessee you might look up Catron Kennels. Best rabbit dogs in West Tennessee. We got one from him and hunted her three years before we ever did a trial with her. She won 1st [lace the first time out and made Champion in five hunts.
