Favorite clubs?
What is your favorite club to attend and why?
I haven't been to a lot but I think the Rochester MN club does a pretty good job. Nice hunting, good people, good facilities, a warm breakfast when you get in, and it's close to home for me.
Andy
I've been to several clubs I really enjoyed.
I've only been up to Brooten MN once. A couple years back when the held the UKC State hunt. Hunting was some of the nicest I've hunted and was far better than I ever expected. Kitchen was top notch! Its a little further than I'd typically travel for a regular UKC hunt, but it is worth the drive up there.
I've also been to Ottosen IA only once, but I sure enjoyed my trip there. Weather was warm, rivers were high, but I had good hunting and enjoyed some of the fellows in the club. MOH Howard Thompson made the trek worth while. I don't think the way he called out casts was following UKC procedure, but it sure was funny. Everyone should have experienced a trip to Ottosen while Howard was there. RIP-Howard.
Hebron WI is another club I've enjoyed. Good family friendly atmosphere regardless if it is Family Day or another event. Lots of good people over there. Never seen a club with some many kids running around. Only actually hunted out of there once and had good hunting.
Wilton WI is another good one. I haven't hunted out of there and know it can be rough, but again a real decent group of members. Coffee pot is always on and the b.s. is always flowing. Smudge Calhoun should take his comedy act on tour.
My local favorite would be the Plainview MN club. A super good group of members. I like how the club conducts its business and offers a variety of events for its members. Plus I can guide out of there.
Hopefully our Chatfield MN club will eventually be on someone's favorite club list. We've got a good group of members and good hunting. We too are offering many different types of events and hope to add a Family Fun type day in the future with WRs, FTs, and treeing contests. We are holding our first UKC coonhound event this spring.
Lots of good clubs out there.
favorite club
I've been to quite a few of them and I
would have to be Bucks/Mont. club here in Pa.
Very friendly environment, the club is handled very well as far as cast guides and judges, good food, and a plus they usually put you into coon as well. Always look forward to going to that club and supporting them. Not that it was ever needed, but they always made sure they returned the favor as well. Just good people there! There is a few other good clubs out there, but I would say that is my favorite.
I like hunting out of just about any club near the Medina, Ashland areas of Ohio. Most of the guys out there are good guys and have some of the best hounds in the US to hunt against. Also, the guides never hesitate to put you in some of the thickest coon you've ever seen.
Been to a couple 2 hour hunts out there where we've made 6, 8, 10 or even 12 splits in one nite!

My favorite is Ashtabula county coon hunters in Jefferson, Ohio! Nice people, lots of coon, good cheeseburgers! Ashland, Ohio has a good club and excellent coon population, Middlefield, Ohio Good people and good huntin, Ohio is my favorite state to hunt in! Meadville, Pa. has a good club and good coon population, Allegany treeing hounds in Millport, Pa. is a good club with good people and if you get the right guide they can put you into a pile of coon but if you get the wrong guide you can find it pretty steep and few coon! I would rate Stateline Coonhunters in Richburg, NY. along with Millport, Pa. except maybe a better coon population. These are my favorites!

Mid America Troy IA. Is a outstanding club GREAT KITCHEN Go KERI
They have a very nice water Race Pit Right in front of a very nice clubhouse full kitchen showersfor the hunters lots of shade, parking that is lit.
Probably been hanging around this club 40 yrs. Seen some of the best money water races,as any where in the country, don't slip in there for a push over, because the power will greet you as it has forever.
Some of the nicest hunter to be around good guides great hunting, probably got 5-6 masterof hounds. Covered area on cement to show them hounds.
I have many many memories at this club.

Meadville, Pa
I have to back Brian up on Meadville, Pa. Nice FLAT hunting(as long as you stay out of the Cochranton area..
), plenty of coon and good people to run the club. I have yet to go to one of their hunts that they had to scrape and scratch for guides.

There are several good clubs in our area. I may be a little predjuist but I like the Hawkins County and Three springs Coon Clubs. Good guides and plenty of food at their events and a good coon population. Other good clubs in the area that put on nice events and also give back to the community are High Oaks, Clear Creek, Greene County Coon Hunters,Tri County Coon Club, Holston River, Clinch River.
There are many more in the area and most of them put on good events
