Any old Nailor blood dogs still in the woods??

I was wondering if there is still a lot of old Direct Nocturnal Nailor dogs in the woods??

I have one that is 13+ and still treeing coons. I dont hunt him like I used to due to his age.

I took him out last night on his own on a cold night and he treed one and made it look easy.

I hate to see him age and I can tell he is going downhill. I hope to have some semen collected and stored from him in the next week or two.

Here is a 9 month old pup out of hm treeing.... Listen to the mouth on this pup!!!

Axle

Hey Matt. Here is a few pics of that 9 month old now. He just turned a year old.

I got him started and have always taken him out myself but this night (three days before his first birthday) I couldn't go so Jonny took him and Cub. What do you know he treed his own coon for the first time. Go figure. Here is a pic.

We took him out three nights later on his birthday and he and Cub treed a big boar coon. Here is his birthday picture. No party hat though.

I am not in Cookeville, but there is a pup or two out of him in that area. Any info on him would be great to hear.

a good friend of mine just picked up a granddaughter of nailor. She is 9, big-boned stout female, chop/bawl on ground and an extremely impressive tree dog, especially for being 9 and really out of shape...

anything out of hard rock cafe would show nailor in

Hey Matt,

Update on Axle. He is doing great. I just love hunting this young dog. He has one hell of a mouth and a great nose. We dropped two times before the storm rolled in the other night. Jonny has been down since his back surgery so this was the first good night we could get the dogs out. They treed on both drops. The second one they were deep. We had one of our young pups out of the Blaster/Ann cross and he stayed with Cub, Rock and Axle. The storm was coming up fast so we had to make our way back to the truck and get home. We were soaking wet and covered in mud from sliding down some of those steep hollers. I had to throw Axle in the shower with me when we got home so he could get on the bed and knock out.

Thanks again Matt for making that cross. I will keep you posted as we go along. We have to go down south to pick up three dogs at the pen this weekend. One is a super nice female out of the Merchant Tree Blaster line and XJr. I want to hunt her with Axle when she gets back.

Talk to you later,
C
