Britt....tell us MORE !

Britt,

Tell us more about this fur buyer? What times on Wednesday will they be there?

Are they like EVERY OTHER fur buyer?

1. "Boy I sure am doing you a favor, I lose my shirt buying fur.....
2. "Those sure are nice coons, but they are a little too small.....
3. "That's a big coon there, but it seems to be "off-color"....
4. "I don't want to make any $$$, I just love to buy fur !"....

Anyone else hear these things EVERYTIME you sell fur ?

Heehee. I like the index finger sticking through a hole and the "so you have hounds?" comments. "I could pay you $2 more for that hide, without that hole".

To which I say, "That hole resulted in a pup being worth about $200 more than he would have been. Can you match that?" That shuts them up about holes and they start ragging me about little coons, blue coons, red coons, coons with rubs and so on.

Wow, I'm glad to have Lars

He may NOT be the best priced but I tell you what, that man and his shop have done way more than what you are all talking about back east. EVERYTIME I have had a school or community project he DONATES the use of what ever hides and horns I want so that I can do educationals for children. He donated a pelt of every mammal we find here so that we could but it in a hands on display for kids at the fairground every year. He's helped greatly with benefits and political battles regarding hunting.

Not sure about what you have back there, but I think I will stick with what I have out here. Makes me even more glad to live out west, lol.

there is a fur buyer around linn, mo. this ol' boy doesn't say a word. you hand him your furs. he goes through them and seperates them in piles and when he gets done he tells what he will give. if you try to argue with him he just bunches them back up, hands them to you, sends you out his door and will not buy them then at all. if you go else where you will wish you had kept your mouth shut and took his offer. i kinda like the ol' boy. LOL....

Times of fur buying

We are thinking of an evening pick up on the 10th, then POSSIBLY, alternate between a morning pickup and an evening pick up.

I'm going to just GUESS here, because we don't have times set in stone just yet, but I vote for evenings.

Also, everyone has friends they hunt with, if you can't make it, you could have a buddy do it for you while he's here.

If you want to know exact times as the day draws near, give us a call at 260-997-6940.

Tracy
