Broken Tail

OK I HAVE A ONE WEEK OLD PUP WITH A BROKEN TAIL I DON'T KNOW HOW HE BROKE HIS TAIL MAYBE DURING BIRTH BUT MY QUESTION IS CAN I SET IT OR WHAT? HERE IS MY OTHER SILLY QUESTION DOES A BEAGLES TAIL GROW LIKE A TREE LIMB FROM THE BASE OR LIKE A DEER ANTLER ALL THE WAY THROUGH/ WHY I'M ASKING IS THE BREAK IS ABOUT A INCH FROM THE END AND I COULD DOCK THE TAIL WHEN THE PUP IS OLDER AND GET RID OF THE BREAK.

if your going to dock it don't wait to long, they seem to heal better when they get done at a young age that's why they do rotties and brittany's young.

I also raise jack russells, and I dock the tails at 2 or 3 days old. I wouldnt wait any longer to dock the tail if you are going to.

I agree with Jordon. Don't wait dock it now, slid the skin towards the body, then cut, that way when you let the skin go it will easily cover the tissue.
