WHY? DO YOU THINK IT WOULD WORK IN THOSE MOUNTAINS?
sure would work... it works anywhere. rough country just means you need a tracker more... . anywheres you can see in that picture youd get a good strong signal... you still got to get to them thats the hard part... knowing where you dont get a signal will help you as much as where you do.... and when it bounces all around and cant tell what direction. that will tell you something too... just think about how it works. sometimes you have to go away from dogs to get to where you can get a good direction ...if you ever are totally stumped use a map .a compass and triangulate..... this will tell you very close to where they are on a map..... just take a reading from a couple known placesa distance apart on a map. draw a line representing the compass reading... where lines meet is very close to where your dogs are.. a tracker isnt magic... its like your dog barking... just more range.. sometimes can hear dogs barking for miles. sometimes not a couple hundred yards... wind doesnt affect the radio signal. lots of other things do... line of sight 12 miles... 20 miles is possible... reality maybe a mile but thats in real extreme places.. in those kinds of places you may have to drive away from dogs to locate then go back and get them. this is still better than no clue where they are... pete

I think you might need a good health plan too.
Looks like heart attack country to me.
