Garmin Questions

Took out for first time the other night. After loading on computer I noticed that it shows locations of dog from time I turned collar on until I turned off on mapsource. I started new hunt at each new drop location but apparently it did not work. Question, do I pause or stop tracking once I leave a tree? I thought starting a new hunt would do this. But it shows on map uploaded all tracks and even truck trips between drops.

Question #2- I have a map card and uploaded astro to mapsource but it does not upload topo map detail. Is this right or what am I doing wrong? Thanks

It will save you tracks until you go into Menu, GPS APPLICATIONS, then TRACKS. Clear your track each time if you are uploading a lot and you will only see that night's track.

I always pause tracking either from tree or once I get to the truck and go to another spot so I can see the dog's correct distance traveled and average rate of speed...

Your topo map will not upload onto the computer unless you buy the one from GARMIN.

this is wrong information when you hook your garmin to your mapsource in the uppler left corner it asks which map you then need to highlight the whole map and hit transfer then to device you can download awsome free maps from gpsfiledepot.com

you may need to put the card into your computer and download the map onto your computer

try recieving it from device
