-- will my pup be ok? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=329718)
will my pup be ok?
Its a little white leopard cur ii was walking him and his brother today their I think 3 or 4 monthes old and I went to put them in their kennals after everything and walked in the house to give my old dogs their food and my little cur stuck his head thru the tarp I have seprating the kennals and he sniffed my older dog and my older dog bit his nose I smacked the older dog and checked the little pup he had a littlebite mark on top his nose. He acted funny after that but I walked him again and he was ok but will that mess him up at all? Older male and younger male so I don't know if that has anything to do with it
Yep he will be fine. I would be whiping that big dog real well for that crap though.

I would have never ever thought he would do that I've never heard so much as a growl from him

quote:Never, ever trust a pup and an older dog un supervised Till you really get to know what all makes them tick. If it dos'nt kill it it will definately set it back to being a shy dog or a scrapper and there is no room for one or the other .... Good luck and keep your guard up a little better the next time, keep them apart or put a board between them or something.....

This is what they call "sticking your nose where it doesn't belong" he will be fine. I would get after the old dog for that though, and it might slow down his training a little but I doubt it. Good luck
