Me & Ole Slu Foot's Hunt Tonight 01/26/10

Well my nephew Eli (Slu Foot) finally came back around tonight to go with me to turn the dogs loose. We took Max & Zero. Max has not been in a while but I never had any doubt about him. He will be 9 yrs old this yr. man how time flies. Turned him & Zero loose and they struck about 151 yds in there by the Garmin. Messed around in there for a good 15 mins or so hitting up here and there and I told Eli them dogs are picking peaches but they were in good woods and a little branch that feeds a pond. Well I didn't hear Max anymore so I looked at the Garmin and he was 331 yds away and Zero was 209 yds so we jumped in the truck and headed the way they were going cause they were running right beside the road which is not traveled much but all it takes is one. So we pulled down a bit and got out of the truck and they were treed. Got in there and soon as I looked up seen the coon. First one I have shot out in two yrs. Got videos and will post later if I can get photobucket to act right. I really enjoyed Eli going with me again. I really have missed hunting with this young man. He use to go with me every night and to all the Comp. Hunts from here to Autumn Oaks. Sorry to ramble on just wanted to share with you all. Take care and God Bless.

So by your garmin that ol blue dog was over 100 yrds ahead of that younger walker LOL sounds like he must have had built up energy while you have been just admiring him in the dog lot everyday. Sounds like you had a good time , Keep it up.

Yeah by the Garmin he was the first there and it really made me happy to see the Old Man still has what it takes other than the voice. If I can get these videos on here you can see what I am talking about. Photobucket is being stupid right now for some odd reason.
