Bob the house chicken

I raise rare breed chickens. I thought I would show you folks Bob. He's a blue polish chick I got from Sandhill. Unfortunately, he recently got his foot caught in the coop door, but I have been giving him lots of TLC. Actually, he's my house chicken, as in he lives in a dog crate in my bedroom. Anyway, he likes to help me surf the web. Here we are this morning trying out the new webcam features. Hope everyone enjoys. Plus Lance is attached to him too. He's always finding treats for him. This morning it was cherries. He even broke them apart for Bob. Yea, old Bob may never return to the wilds of the outside coop again.

LMAO Amy!

We had a House chicken Named "chickennugget"... she did eventually go back out...
THe bassets next door caught her... the neighbors had her in a box till we got home from some errands... We could see all her insides... intestines, liver etc... so Bob took the "walk out back" with her... came back in a few minutes later with her... still alive telling me she "gave him a look" and wasn't ready yet... SO... nursie Heather got vetwrap and some antibiotics and wrapped her tight and stuck her in a cat crate over night...and the next night and... daily washings out of the revolting wounds.... and meds and... then a dog crate and then.... we had to BUY a parrot cage since mine had gone with my parrots when I donated them to a local agricultural school YEARS ago...
Nugget lived with our greyhounds in the house till the point she could VISIT with them in the kitchen(TopGun would easily and often... kill an outdoor chicken or cat actually)... eventually we started bringing her out to visitt her sisters and boyfriends... and she moved back out side happily! She LOVED to talk to us...and a couple yrs after her near slaughter she laid eggs again! LOTS of tears when she finally died...and was buried....
LOL... have fun with Bob... the polish sure are cute... we have one old Polish hen left... blind as a BAT... dumb as a rock I might add as well....
I'm going to send this to MY Bob so he sees we're NOT the only crazy idiots out there.....
Well... gotta go... the WORMS Bob dug for his Duck "Quackers" are waiting in the barn....LOL... We kept a supply alive in the garage for winter! HAHAHhhhaaaa....

Have a good one, heather
