garmin messing up

i have the long range antenna and the last couple of time's i went hunting my garmin wouldnt pick up my dog it took 20 min to recognize it do you have any idea's of what i could do and also how do you set the map cards as your regular map?

Turn BOTH the collar and Astro on before you leave and let them sit close to each other until they pick up...

Your map should load itself once it is put behind the batteries, under the silver sliding plate. Make sure the plate is locked into place before putting the batteries back in...
