Hey Mike How are things going? I know that DES will bring them into heat good but how are the conception rates? It seems I've heard plenty of times that the females never took. Hoping that is wrong as my nephew has a female is a month or more overdue and we're looking to get her bred. Thanks, Doug

Things are pretty good, but it is cold down here. Us southern boys and dogs aren't use to this.
I have used DES 2 times. Once on a 9 year old that had very irregular cycles. We tried to breed her when it was over 100 degrees outside and the stud wasn't to fond of that. We ended up AI-ing her, but she didn't stick. The 2nd time was on a 4 year old that had never been in heat. Gave her the pills and bred like the directions said, but I think we nearly missed her. She only had 2 pups. I think you would be better off if you put the bitch with the stud for several days. I don't recommend using this as a matter of convenience, but when you have a 4 year old that has never come in what do have to lose?
