-- range of the garmin? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=324237)
range of the garmin?
what kind of range are you getting with your garmin? I loose signal about .6 tenths of a mile here in the hills and hollows of Northeast Oklahoma. How much range could I get with the add-on wand antenia?

That's about what I get. sometimes It Will read out to 8tenths but it has to be pretty flat. I need to get a long range antenna for mine sometime for when I'm hunting with them blow through the country walker dogs friends have around here. Lol
Do some searches on here there seems to be a lot of fine tuning updating that can greatly increase range.
update it.....look for tips on here,i did mine and went from .6 mile to 2.5 miles. update only took 15 minutes.
upgrade
wish i knew how to upgrade mine

I have updated two Astros and 4 DC30's. All went from 1,2 to 2 ,5 miles. That is inside the truck, drving down the road, windows up. I'm sure the range would be greater outside.
