Santee Cooper Bass in Feb??????

Were coming down to the Akc world in feb. I'm going to bring my boat and fish a little why were there. I've been there in March and did pretty good. I dont mind fishing when its chilly just wondering about lake levels and the bass bite? Thanks in advance!!

I was thinking the same thing but I looked and it says at normal poole. Me and my son are heading out fishing all day while my handler goes off cooning. My son can't wait week off school to go hunting and fishing. Don't get much better than that!!!

If I were fishing Santee Cooper, I would fish for some of those huge Blue Cats. Or maybe, some of the big crappie I have seen on some of the fishing shows. You have great fishing.

I was down there 2 years ago and there was a guy that came in with 15 crappie that were all over 2 pound. Biggest dang crappies I've ever seen. Santee is known for there cats but all I fish for is bass. I can't wait to get there!

its good fishing down here... i personally have caught 30-50 pound cats using cut bait, and thats fishing on the bank, as for bass i use a crank bait and if no hits i go to a bright color worm, and if your going for some bream just use live worms.....i usally go around the indian mound off of 95....

Thanks for the info. I was planning on doing a bunch of cranking and maybe throwing some jerk baits. It works up here in the spring.
