Question????

Has anyone that hunts or train hounds for others ever been stuck with a hound.I have got one been here for 6 months owner has paid in the past but that was 3 months ago now they want answer my calls or return my calls.I am sending a certified letter today to them and complaint to ukc,dont know what else to do just wondering how long you had to keep a hound and feed it before you can keep it or if anyone has ever had this to happen.I have learned to get pay up front unless you really know them.Thanks for any advice.

Did you have a contract where if they didn't pickup a dog on certain date -- then you would charge a daily boarding fee?

If not, I would send certified letter stating that you would be charging a boarding fee on a certain date if dog not picked up and after certain date if dog is not picked-up, then the dog would be considered abandoned and you could do with what you please.

Is it any count?

thats where i miss up to start with but i have sent one as of today.i was told by ukc to mail in compliant and they would send one also be nice to have his papers hes going to be a hard tree dog.

I was on my way to Monroe today and stopped for a burger near Lancaster, SC. A sign in the window caught my eye. The sign said Jail Bird for sale.
I laughed and told the cashier I wanted two dozen to go.Then I asked what was a Jail Bird?
To my surprise it was a local publication highlighting the photos of the people that had been arrested in a three county area.

Check out your local Jail Bird paper The owner might have made the front page!!!!!!!!!!

If you were hunting a dog for someone else, why would you file a complaint with UKC about the person? I don't see what it has to do with UKC.

IT DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH UKC,THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME TO DO.THEN IF THEY DONT GET IN TOUCH WITH UKC THATS MORE OR LESS SAYING THEY DONT WONT THE HOUND.I JUST TRY TO DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY!! I JUST CANT SELL A MANS HOUND NOT KNOWING WHAT HAPPEN TO THEM...BUT I AM NOT GOING TO JUST SELL HIM UNTIL I FIND OUT WHAT HAPPEN TO OWNER.
