Live traps

I know there have been many threads about this but here's another. Lookin for a new live trap bait, and setup. Were to put the trap and such. Tha ks for the input.

a trap next a culvert with moving water will do the trick specialy in the winter i use vanilla estract poured over corn it seems to attract coon from a distance there are very few times that i don't get one this way even in thin coon

walk the creek banks or branches find some tracks. srdines with grape Kool-Aid on top. poke berries with a little vanilla and molasses works good but poke berries are gone haven't caught a possum on this yet but have with sardines

Traps

Bestway i have found is #1 always where gloves when setting trap..Have to stay close to water.. Always find tracks where moving before setting. Best place is under a bridge on the creek..Everytime i look under a bridge near a creek its a COON highway. Cracker jacks with a few drops of vanilla exrtact on the bait pan.

You can even use a honey bun in your trap that seems to work coons love sweet stuff.
