Absolutely the worst matchup possible for the Vols.

VT was what 3rd in the ACC? Tennessee was somewhere around 5th in the SEC.

Tennessee doesn't match up well against VT, it's their worst nightmare when it comes to trying to defend them (a mobile quarterback, spread type team).

Tennessee is very vunerable on special teams, which is a VT strength. Our kicker came out of the student body from OPEN TRYOUTS in the middle of the season.

Tennessee is weak at linebacker, down to 4th string. Solid LB play is needed to stop the spread with a truly mobile QB, not to mention a quick runner.

This will present issues similar to Ole Miss.

I want Tennessee to win, but this was the absolute worst year ever to have to play VT. We haven't been this low in talent in a very, very long time.

If Tennessee does win it will be close, but VT has the potential to blow out Tennessee.

Make no mistake about it I am a Vols fan and would love to have got ahold of VT every year for the last 20 years with the exception of the last two LOL.

Bad time for the matchup if you are a Vol fan.
