A Tue Christmas Story

A friend of mine works at a local electrical utility.

Last week a youny lady came into their office an ask for the person in charge of bill collecting and shut offs for non-payment.

After being introduced to the lady that was responsible for these duties the young lady went on to tell her story.

The lady simply stated that she would like for the bill-collector to choose someone who was due to be shut off for non-payment before Christmas and that she would like to pay their bill in full so that they would not have their power shut off.

The bill-collector though a few minutes tryin to come up with some one who was deserving and would appreciate it. She came up with another young lady who was a single mom with two young children who had lost her job and was trying to go back to school and was going to have her power shut off in the next few days.
The lady asled how much does it take to pay her up in full. The bill was $300 and some odd dollars.
She wrote out a check for the full amount with only one request. The request was that no one would ever know who was resposible for paying the young woman's light bill.

Through generosity of a total stranger, I'm sure there is one young mother and two kids who believe in Santa Claus more than ever this year. Merry Christmas Ron

nice....

there are quite a few charitable folks around this Holiday Season. they just don't mention much of it....like volunteers at our food pantry. volunteers at hospital. friends getting in groups and helping elderly with chores, such as snow removal. helping one another all year long is the best gift of all.

Have a wonderful Christmas, Ron...may you and loved ones be blessed all year through.
