Parvo Meds UpDate !!!!!!

This is a Guaranteed Parvo Kit "That Works" !!!!

We Just went thru Our 2nd Parvo Exposure in 2 years .. The First was a Lost Bear Hound I picked-up and Returned to Some Hunter about 4 miles away.. We had Parvo in 8 pups and Treated all of them and didn't Loose Any..

The Second was 3 weeks ago.. We had one of our 5 year old Dams Spay at a local "Spay Neuter" Clinic .. This is were we had Exposure to Parvo.. She was Exposed at one of 2 Areas their, It was ether By the Retaining Straps Used during the Operation or the Recovery Pens they Have.. This Female was Totally Up on her Shots !!!!! 5 Days after her Operation She went thru a Flu Like Episode for almost 24 hours .. She Started Vomiting at First and Was very Tired then Diarrhea.. 4 Days latter another 16 Month old Went thru the Same Thing.. At the Time We Did not Associate this "Flu" with Parvo .

3 Days later the First of 6 pups Started with Parvo Scours and Vomiting.. I had 14 pups here at the Start and Pups from 3 different Litters.. The Oldest Litter being 16 weeks old and the youngest at 13 weeks old .. The Youngest litter had No Shots at all and 4 out of 5 pups contracted Parvo..
The Next Litter at almost 14 Weeks old which we have 4 Pups From Had No Shots At All and None Contracted Parvo..
The Oldest Litter at 16 weeks old which we have 4 pups Remaining and had 3 Series of Puppy Shots 1-5 way and 2-7way , 2 out of the 4 Contracted Parvo..
The Last Pup to get it was My French Pup from Col. which had 2 sets of Vaccine From a Vet. and is 13 weeks old ..

Now All Pups were Housed together Until I noticed "Parvo Smelling Scours" and Found out Which One Had it .. Then That Pup was removed and Place in one of our unused Bathrooms and I began Treatment with Meds. I also Treated all the Pups with "Spectam Scour Hault"

6hr latter the next and the next Pups started with Full Blown Parvo and were place altogether in the Bathroom .. Note the Bathroom was the Easiest area to Clean and Disinfect with Bleach.

Treatment : At First Signs of Vomiting and Scours

In a syringe ( No Needle ) Draw .75 Ml/CC of the "A-Lite Concentrate"
Then Draw 2 Ml/CC of the "Neomycin Oral Solution"
Then Draw 2.5 Ml/CC of the "Spectam Scour Halt"
All Combined in the Same syringe..

Now If Vomiting Occurs after Administration of the Above Dosage You will Have to Contact your Veterinarian "THIS STOPS ALL VOMITING" Now this is Very Important !!!!! At the Bottom of this Page a Link to the "CERENA" Injectable Med. Please Print out the Information about "Cerena" and Have your Vet. Order a Bottle to have on hand .. This Med will mean the difference of your Pups Living or Dieing !!!!!!! Only 1 in 5 Vets even know about this Drug ..

Cerena is Used for Motion Sickness in K9s and it Works and will STOPS ALL VOMITING for 12 to 16 hours after administration, this gives you a Huge Window to get the above mentioned Med thru their System.

The Next Step is to Administer (Depending on the Weight of your Pup) Lactated Ringers INJ. USP subcont. I usualy place 60 ml on each side of the pup . Place your IV needle about 1-1/2" down from the Spine along the Rid Cage just under the Skin... You may have to adjust the needle around under the Skin to get a good flow of Fluid.. Set your flow to Admin. the 60 ml over about 10 mins time.. Once every 12 Hours

You may only need to Treat the Pup-s with 2 Doses of the Above Meds .. Do Not Try to Feed the Pups !!!!! It can Wait and may do more harm than Good !!

The Ringers will keep the Pups going for 12 hours per dosage.

After 24 to 30 hours of treatment and the Pup began Water (Only) intake you will need to "Re-Boot" their Digestive System..

Which may require you to Force Feed Yogart (Plan with Active Cultures) thru a large syringe ( I use a 30 ml ) about 10 to 15 Ml of yogart then wait and Watch for about 1 hour, if that stays down then repeat again and Wait... The Tough Part is getting them to take that first Feeding on their own .. I use "Hill's Prescription Diet" I/D Canine.. The Feed is very Mild but is still Pack full of needed Cal./Vitimins and is Very Digestable..

If you have any Questions or Need Help Please Call ANYTIME

Some Tractor Supply should have the A-Lite ..

If the Pup can't keep anything down then Injectable CERENIA is the only thing that will work.

I would like to add something to the Parvo Meds ...

"Poly-Vi-Sol Liquid Vitamins With Iron" .. by Enfamil

Its avb. at Rite Aid or other Drug Centers ..

Due to the Large Losses of Blood its very important that you Increase the Iron and other Vitamins lost .. .5 ml per Day for 7 days after the Start of Parvo ..

Majestic I believe another reason you've had great success is that you have knowlege/ability to recognize the illness and imediately start treatment. Too many times I've read on here about a sick dog and many of the basics like taking a temp or observing bowel movements are ignored.

Another good drug to have on hand is acepromazine(sp) lots of pups will start to move around a lot after getting a little fluids in them just a little ace will sedate them enough to stay quite and get plenty of fluids.

There's also a very good parvo only vaccine called Neopar, to prevent it from reoccuring. You can give it to puppies as young as 5 weeks or even younger. It is a high titer vaccine that overcomes the mother's immunities. I have used it after having parvo with great success. I am on my third litter now with no Parvo. I live in So. Cal., it's high Pavo area. This is the manufacturer's website: http://www.neotechvaccines.com

You can order it from most of the major companines, like A to Z, Revival and others.

And no I don't own stock in the company!

So glad to hear it. I wish I would have seen your info, when I had Parvo. It might have saved the 3 pups that I lost. And of course one of them looked very promising as my next conformation dog.

Everyone that I know of that has used Neopar has ended Parvo from reoccuring.

I use their other vaccines too. I am so happy that someone told me about it. It's a wonderful vaccine. I am really surprised everyone in Parvo areas are not using it.

Good information to have.
Thanks.
There's no worse feeling than watching those sick little puppies and knowing there going to die if you don't act quickly and properly.

Wish I would have found this post last week (after a $500 vet bill). I just lost my pick of the litter to parvo. Now my 1.5 yr pup is got the symptoms. (All were up to date on 7 ways) Hopefully he will make it through. Looks like I have some shopping to do tomorrow.

The main thing is catching it in time especially for the younger pups! Once it gets to a point and they just get too dehydrated and stressed it can just be a lost cause. Good step by step post and will help people save some money. So many vets have just lost their **** minds when it comes to money. within the past year I bought a pup from a breeder and within a day or two noticed it was showing the signs - parvo. The breeder refused to believe that he had parvo and due to distance returning it was out of the question. He didn't want to believe me so I had to take it to the vet for an "official" diag. for him. then he didn't want to believe the vet. Wasn't my normal vet and they wanted something like $1,200 and to keep the pup over night. I told them that they were crazy! All I wanted was the **** independent fecal test to prove my point! I had just about everything listed above on the farm and got him going on the iv. Once he was ready for a little food I have had good luck with a plain yogurt, plain cooked hamburger and cooked rice to start with for a couple days. Small amounts that they can keep down spread out. Its also a good idea to get them started on an antibiotic because of the irritation and shedding of their intestine is a hot spot for the start of a secondary infection. Once they have had parvo and survived the chances of them getting it again are slim to none. Dogs with the black and tan coloration are far more prone to getting parvo than others - B&Ts, dobermans, etc. Oh yeah, the breeder that wanted to deny it could have come out of his kennel because"all the other pups were so healthy" finally went out and checked the rest of the litter himself (been relying on his helper) and all of them had it. Ended up losing most of them! At least he was man enough to call me back and admit that to me and we got it all worked out after that... Just remember it's the dehydration that is what actually kills them not the virus itself. So as long as you get it early and keep them hydrated you have a good chance of getting them through it but the virus pretty much will have to just run it's corse. For parvo you treat the symptoms not the virus.

Wes I had treated a Pit Bull Pup a few months ago from a Girl that lives in your area .. She goes to Garys to get feed .. The Pup came thru well ..

I believe your area is highly infectious !!

I can't charge for Treatment "Only Supplies" plus I'd rather see the pup live anyway ...
