Females In Heat??????????

my wife has a american bulldog that just turned 2 in oct. she comes in heat every 6 mths. well this time she has been bleeding for almost 3 weeks. her and my hounds normally bleed the first week then stop. im starting to get concerned about her bleeding this long. has anyone else had a problem like this??????

Yep, took to vet, she had sists everything came out the next day.......sorry, but i would call your vet and have her checked out while she is bleeding, color of blood does tell them something too. With the weather being cold watch her, it takes alot of iron out of their system if bleeding alot! She will have trouble reg. her body temp to keep warm. Worth a trip to the vet! I hope everything is ok...

ive heard of people having to have their female fixed do to accessive bleeding. she is just dripping here and there right now. if it dont stop soon i will take her and have her checked out.

Best to get them fixed anyway. Less problems. I swore I would never have another bitch on the place and just bought a female pup. All they had out of the litter I liked.
Had a buddy with a bitch like that and like the other guy it was cyst and had to have every thing taken out. Good luck
