treeing dogs

do all dogs give a locate before treeing?

No, they don't. Some give a locate that is so subtle that you won't even notice unless you are very familiar with the dog.

No all dogs don't. In fact, many dogs don't locate. I have noticed the dogs that do locate are on average alot more accurate.

I have had two dogs over the past 5 years that every tree they located on they would have a coon and when they didn't locate it was like 50-50. That's just one of the many examples I have.

Hope that helps.
