Fur Hunt 12/19/09 - results posted
Eddie Franklin is having a fur hunt at his hound supply store Saturday12/19/09 6:00 entry.Kind of a Grand Opening !!Bring a buddy,$10 a man 1st,2nd and 3rd place prizes according to how many show up. Hot food/cold soda.
He is talking about having a skinning contest also. I have never done one of these, but it should be fun.
Directions: I-44 to Sullivan exit by the Lowes and Flying-J. Head south go strait through intersection at stop light. Second or third building on right after stop light. Between conservation office and KC Hall. Eddie has a big sign out. Pretty easy to find.
Wish I still lived up that way I would drop in to try and place last in that skinning contest!
I used to hunt a lot out of bourbon club. Lots of good people there.

fur hunt results
10 teams were entered and 10 coons were brought in. There were 3 teams that had two coons, and 4 teams with one coon. So that leaves 3 teams that got skunked, (and I happened to be one of those teams.) There was probably at least 10 people that just came to talk and see how everyone did. I'm estimating somewheer in the range of 35-40 people all together. That was a pretty good turnout for this time of year.
The skinning contest was awsome. Some of those guys sure can make it look easy. Eddie Franklin won with a time of 1min 55sec. James Franklin came in second with 1min 57sec. Steve King came in third with 2min 7sec. There were several others entered and all were pretty close.
There was lots of food, and some good fellowship. Eddie is talking about having another hunt sometime after christmas, and if you can come I'm certain you won't be disappointed.
Eddie if I missed anything fill it in.
Thank's to everyone who partticipated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lot's fun!
