-- scoring question (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=318439)

scoring question

Dog A trees 1st,
Dog B trees 2nd

Dog A leaves the tree or is not there when cast arrives!
Does dog B move up to 125 or does it get 75 on the tree?

Posted by backnine on 12-14-2009 06:48 AM:

b gets 75 unless when you get there a is split off then b can move up to 125

There is no "unless" to it. If dog B was carded for 75 tree points, dog B stays at 75.

Had this same exact situation over the weekend. Dogs don't move up!

So you are telling me that if I tree my dog in for 75 and when we get in there she is split 25 yrds from the other dogs that she stays at 75???? We couldn't tell they were split from where we treed them but once at the tree they obviously are so she doesn't get rewarded 125 for having a split tree?????

I cant think of any situation where you could move up if dog A left the tree which is what the original post said.

I understand that you dont move up if A leaves but I was saying that if dogs are split when you arrive that you move up and the response I got was that dogs never move up on tree points

That IS NOT the response I gave.
I answered the question that was asked. You are now going off on a completely different situation. I just answered the question that was asked by moon.

your wrong jim, u move up !

Jim is never wrong about the rules.

If you get there and Dog A&B are split treed, then A never left! Thats not what the original question was. You're confusing a simple question!!

You don't move dog(s) up in tree points just because dog(s) with higher tree points left....EVER...

That is how it was scored but I did not like the rule! Dog A was never there the handler pitched his dog! I had to take 75 on the tree and lose the cast because someone pitched there dog.

I think I'm starting to understand this board finally....
The reason so many can't get the answer right is because they can't even get the question right.

moon, it sounds like you were a victim of poor judgeing.
If dog A was never there, then how could dog B have been treed with dog A?
Sounds like dogs A and B should have been carded with 125 each to start with.

Well I am learning anyway! Thats why I am asking cause I am not a good handler. I beat myself on the close ones. I should have treed my dog and said You tell me when you hear yours!
