Scoring One Coon Twice !!
last night i had a 1st time deal in ntch cast. dogs treed in the ground. when we pulled the dogs out of the hole & tied them the coon run out of the hole & up a tree about 6 feet from the hole. we cut the dogs & treed him again. can you get more lucky than this !!
I hope this is a joke!

I don't even pretend to know the rules on this but sounds like plus points but only once. Dogs tied and the coon shows himself for you. Lucky.
quote:Going by the rules they could have. However shine time would have had to have started when the coon came out. IF it came out before they started shining then they could not score it. I don't see the point in turning a dog loose when you know the coon is 6 feet away. All that would have been was a who could call the tree the fastest. You can't score the same tree twice, but coon you can.

LOL! I think you should take your coon with you in a cage and turn it loose in front of the dogs. Is there any rules on this!lol!!

no this is not a joke !! there is nothing illigal about treeing the same coon twice !! i think some of you people are so stupid you just try to twist any out of the ordinary thing that can happen in a hunt into something that it aint !!
if someone dont write every little bitty piece of information about a situation some of you proffesinal computer coonhunters always think someone is trying to pull the whool over someones eyes !!
LOL

Sounds like a good ole' nite hunt to me ... you're just there to score points , not coonhunt.
Thats right Jim
But I don't think that some of these guys even hunt, they just sit around staring at the computer screen begging for an excuse to try and sound intelligent. "Try" being the important word in that statement for sure. As I understand the facts, (from the cast members and the Non-Hunting Judge that was on the cast), the dogs were led down the hill a piece and turned loose, then went back and tree'd the coon. Now I know that it didn't read like that, lol, but heck we aren't all pooter guru's like some of you guys. Some of actually coonhunt and don't have all day to type.
Speaking of which, you gonna be ready to go tonight Jim?

I had something similar happen one night. I had a first and first on a coon. Went in, it was a large coon in a very small tree. I was kinda worried it was going to jump on my head as I got my dog off the tree. Lead him to another dog that was treed scored that one and then recut to another dog. My dog went back and treed about 20 feet from where he was before. We went in the coon had came down and went back up a bigger tree. Was not my proudest moment, but I took it. Just as all the rest of you would have.

As long as all dogs were scored at the hole, and then the dogs are recasted, points split on strike, presumably on tree too......then the cast waits the 5 minutes or until dogs are all struck and treed in....
I believe its legal.

THIS IS RIGHT..NO 2 WAYS ABOUT IT.SPLIT STRIKE PTS.AND CALL FOR TREE POSITIONS.FOR THE SECOND TREE.

If you guys walked away before recasting, that is giving that coon a sporting chance. ... LOL

The mid section is 75 points and the tail end is 50 points per appendage also each ring on a coons tail is worth 50 points each but everyone in the cast must be in agreement how many rings there are. We had a hunt one time where 20 rings were scored on one coon come to find the guy that was counting was cross-eyed.
