Cajun Lite charging question

The amber light on my charger blinks which means something is wrong with the battery. When I turn on the switch (head unpluged) it charges fine. Anyone have this to hapen? Seems like if the battery was going bad it would not charge at all. Don't know why it makes a difference with the switch on.

it sounds like you have a short.

I've been havin a problem with my amber light on my charger blinking off an on since back in the summer, I just unplug it and plug it back in while I see it flashing. Light still has been working fine so not sure why its blinking.

Now my fathers Cajun light which is quite ancent(hes guessing its close to 20 yrs old) also started doing the samething with the blinking amber light, it has finally kicked the bucket it wouldn't last even a couple drops on low when being used.
