Kentucky

What’s the terrain like and the coon population?

Is the terrain rough and the coons thin ?

I'm sure it varries.

Thanks,

KG

Thats an impossible question to answer without knowing where your going to be hunting at. In Kentucky we have every conceivable terrain you can think of, from river bottom sloughs in the western part of the state to mountains in the east and everything in between.

Some where around Vine Grove.

Larry,

Some nights I would say yes...lol

Hunting near the coast can be hard. Blown over trees from the hurricanes (every 50-100 ft), and salt marshes. 70 miles away is alright hunting but mid Texas coon hunting is like Squirrel to me.

in eastern KY elliot Co. coons are heavy but not thick you can tree on Avrg.2-3 a night on a good night me an friends have treed as many as 5 a night wich is a great night! but then again we havent treed none so it varries your best bet is to try creek beds,an hollows but your best bet now would go to the mass

Larry,

I'm going sometime mid January and will be about 50 miles from you.

Is there a lot of bad ice or snow around that time?
