Met up with some old friends

Saturday 11/21/09 the Keystone Coonhunters Club in Washington, Pa. had a Big Coon Contest... It was a great time with alot of old faces as well as new ones in the crowd.. It was great to see Tom "Lone Pine" Strang, Bob Hopkins, Mahlon Siebert, Don Bell, Tom Keifer, Randy Naser and a host of others bringing in a coon or two and having a good time with some great food and conversation. I brought 3 young guys with me to join in and rub elbows with fellow coonhunters and BS.... Man them old stories and tales of hunts of long ago were flowing... That was one nice Saturday night coonhunt for sure......

Well

it was a 19.9 lbs boar. treed by a Blue potlicker owned by yours truely... See even a blind squirrel can find a nut now and then... I enjoyed the fellowship after the hunt more than rollin out the biggest coon.... Pleasure hunting and coonhunter get togethers for fun are my favorite hunting times.....

Pennsylvania Hunting

Sure do miss climbing those big mountains in Pa.. Spent many of nights hunting from dark til dawn up there.Wish
I had a dollar for every coon we treed in Potter County,
could have a pile of money.

Debbie Dorrance
P.S. got really skinny climbing those hills lol

Debbie

I have a camp on the McKean, Potter and Cameron Co. line... Those hills are tough to climb..... I deer hunt there, no coonin, too many bears and porkies for my likeing.... Seems the bears out number everything else in those woods these days....

Patreefarmer and Mackeyhill Paul sure had a good hunt !!!!!

Bears & Porkies

Wow You are way up there our camp was on Hyner Mtn.
We did run some bear back in the late 70's up there,
long distance b4 they would tree. Only had one dog that couldn't learn his lesson on deer &porkies. sold him to James Dorman in Texas as a deer dog. lol
Congrats on the big coon
yrs ago we got a few 25 to 30lbs up there.
