Garmin ?

Just got mine. Do I need to buy a micro sd card with the topo maps on it or are they on the CD that comes with it. I haven't down loaded it yet. Tonight will be the first night in the woods with it. Seams pretty easy for the basic stuff but don't know about getting topo maps on it. Just thought it might be easier just to buy a card with them on it.

Well your right I do but it isn't much good with out the topo maps of everywere your going to be hunting and that can get expensive quick.

I used mine a month without the card. Now I'm not saying I would ever want to go back to useing it without a card but even without the card it is 10 times better than a radio tracker.

Best thing I have seen ever come out for hunting. I love mine and it makes the hunting alot more fun. Not to mention safer for your dogs because with the card shows all the roads.

Didn't see any maps or map cards on his sight. I saw a micro SD card some were for the astro the other day that had the northern plains states on it. It was a topo map and that is what I am after. It would be nice to have all of Okla., Kan,MO, and ARK On one but just finding the one I saw before would be great. I think it was
$ 40.00 now all I can find is the same thing for $ 100.00

Okie, call Bruce Conkey, he can fix you up with what you need at a fair price. I am not sure but I think he even customizes the states/areas you want if you call him.

Grady - I just bought one from a local vendor. It cost me $30. You won't regret it. Lets you know when the dogs are close to a road.....and what side of the "crik" they're on!!!!

Yea thanks Randy that is what I am looking for. That is a great price too. I just have to find one like that. I am going to a couple big hunts pretty soon. If I can't find one by then I should be able to get one there. Thanks for all your help.
I reall like this thing a lot more than I thought I would but the topo map so I can tell what side of the creek there on is the main reason I bought it. Were I hunt the creeks ar in the middle of the section. It will save a big walk across a muddy wheat field. It is hard on me and I don't like to do anything to make the field look bad. The farmers go threw a lot of trouble to make them look good. I like to keep them as happy as I can.
