opinions on having someone else start your pup

I have a black pup that I am thinking about having someone start for me. I was looking for opinions on what people think about this. I've never had a pup and am having a hard time getting him going. He is 11 months old and will go with older dogs, but comes back when they tree.

Thanks

Personally I like working with my own dogs, although i'm not much for other people hunting my dogs I have had a good friend hunt my dog for me sometimes and would do the same if I had a pup who wasn't starting real good for me. If you have someone who you trust and is good with pups i'd go for it.
