Who's hunting the Grand American ?

Barry Morrris will be hunting and guiding out of Hell Hole. He'll be hunting a 1 1/2 year old redbone, 'PR' Rip-Roarin' Trailor Trash.

If all goes as planned, my NTCH female will be hunting Saturday night. Don't quite have the nerve to hunt her myself there this time, but she's going to have a good handler. Sure is going to be a long weekend for me since I have a pile of dogs to show as well, but I'm looking forward to it.

How about all the locals ???

Anyone else hunting and guiding or just guiding ? Barry is headed out today to put up more feeders. Looking to have 6 or 8 hot spots then, if needed, it will be off to Francis Marion National Forest ( 258,816 acres ) for some real coon hunting.

I believe my handler is planning on guiding out of the Saluda club. My fiance' and I are members of a deer club that isn't terribly far from the fairgrounds, but it's been so dry lately that I don't believe the coon hunting would be quite as good as I'd like it to be for an event like the GA!

Here on the coast, we have been blessed with plenty of rain the past couple of weeks. Ponds and drains have gone back to holding water. Now we just need the coons to cooperate.

Mr. Hardhead said he would take you up on that. Maybe then he'll have enough area that he won't have to finish up on government land. I believe most would rather hunt feeders than have to hunt in the wild. He also said to tell you that our key will not open the gate at the back of Little Vietnam.
