Newbie looking for hunters around Kankakee IL

I'm lookin for some coon hunters around the kankakee area to show me how its done in real life. I've read a ton online about the hunts but I wanna see how it goes with a dog thats already trained.

I picked me up a red tick at a local shelter about 6 months ago. We guess he's about a year and a half. I wasn't planning on hunting him for a few reasons when I got him. First off i've never hunted anything in my life except for a few black birds about 10 years ago lol. Second he seemed really skittish and afraid of everything when I got him, but he's pretty much cracked out of that now. But i had him at the girlfriends house and they thought there cat was inside. but i watched him start working their backyard. Sure enough he found the cat under a lawn chair and he chased it across the yard. Then the cat jumped on the roof of the house. And barked his head off at that cat up their and would not leave it.

So i'm gonna start training him real soon at a friend from works farm where I can hunt too. But he only has about 1+1/2 mile grove of trees on the edge of his field. Not the best im sure but coons are everywhere around here and I don't have anywhere else to go.

Sorry for the huge first post but if your halfway local too me and don't mind a newbie tagging along let me know.
