At the world hunt or any hunt?
Can you take your garmin into the woods in the off position on a hunt?

Yes you can take it, it just must be either turned off or left in the truck once the hunt begins. The only time you can use it is when time-out has been called.
Hope that answers youre question.
LOTS of people are not abiding by this rule. But I am sure you already know that!!

Garmin use at hunts
I ave a Garmin and have it on me all the time. When we get to a new drop I start new all over so everything will be right and then I show the cast as I turn it off. The reply 95% of the time is I dont care if it is on are you turn it off.I always have it on me but in the woods it is off. That way no one can say a thing.Go by the rules and everyone will RESPECT you.
I had a judge a couple weeks ago tell me it was alright to leave it on. He said dont try and take it out because he would be watching, and if you are good enough to read that thing while its in your pouch you deserve to beat me! Made sense to me....

That judge was trying to be a nice guy but he wasn't following UKC rules which are very specific that they can only be powered on if left at the truck.
