telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales
& nbsp; calls.

YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS
Even if the message is saved on your phone, you will be
charged for the minutes to listen to it.

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell
phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list it will only take a
minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5)
years. You must call from the cell phone number you want
to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone
number.

Do not call list

Even if it is a hoax, it never hurts to be on the do not call list, home or cell. But what happens is the telemarketers find a way around it. They'll start to use other phone numbers and unknown numbers like their own cells.
Recently someone I know started getting telemarketer texts. I told her to call Verizon and block them because they'll use up your # of allowable texts.

They changed their modus operandi (MO).....they call as a "survey" pretext. I have my numbers on the do not call list. I don't get calls on my cell, but, every once in a while I get a "survey" call on the home phone........thank God for caller ID!!!!
