GPS Backtracker??

Those of yall that use one I was wondering the pros and cons of it?? Was thinkin about getting one but figured Id do some research first. Thanks for any info!

miles, my dad has one and he likes it..he uses it for a truck marker when hunting.. i have an astro so i dont need one but he sure like the one button operation of his. he says you push the button to mark the spot and push a button to "go to" the spot..pretty easy...i dont know ow they hold up in tough conditions though..

I had one when they first came out. Really liked it, never had any problems with it. It came up missing when I was hunting at the Heartland Classic. One of those Minnesota guys is prolly useing it to find his wife's car right now.

As far as getting from point "A', where you are actually standing, to get to point "B" that you have previously marked, you could not find an easier unit to use. But for the money, I think I would spend the extra 30-40 bucks and get a "real" GPS with some actual features.
Considering the backtracker's limited functionality, 20 bucks would be a fair price for a new one in my opinion!

mine works great, i love it , only problem with mine is it could be faster at aquiring sattelite sygnal , other than that, its a well spent 65$

Its works good, gets you home. Nice thing about it you can shut it off after you mark your truck, and turn it back on to return, saves on batteries. I don't believe its really accurate, trying to play with it a little just to see how accurate it is.

i have had mine really damp where it is in my pocket and i sweat and no problems yet thay are worth the money

Geeze, I have a $5.50 pin on compass and it does the very same thing.

Larry. if you got a pin compass that points to the truck for $5.50, I want one and I'll give you $11.00 for it.

If ya take a reading beforen ya leave the truck or know what direction your heading, then yes it points me back to the truck.lol

One of my buddies used to carry one of those pin on compasses. He'd just shake it until it agreed with him...

Seen the Backtrack used several times, seems like it works pretty well. Also seen them get damp without any adverse effect.
