Congrats Roy and Checkers. Leroy, Roy and Checkers will be another year older, and one of the chubby checkers might even added a few pounds, come next year.

Thanks Leroy I appreciate the kind words. Yes that is the way a world final cast should look but it was definitely hard on the nerves. Congrats yourself on your 10th place finish this year after winning the hunt last year that's quite accomplishment in itself. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Thornie all start trying to slim down but if that happens I'm already so darn good looking the beagle world won't be able to function LOL. Thanks Thornie talk to ya soon.

Roy

twice

Has a dog ever won the UKC World twice?
How about twice in a row?

It hasn't happened in the beagles yet

No one has won the HB or PP World twice.
World PCH World HBCH GRCH GRHBCH PCH Sundown Tess has won both World championships.
Hick's Prince of Elliott has been in the finals of the HB World I think 2 or 3 times and has placed in the top ten 3 or 4 times if memory serves me correctly.
World HBCH GRCH GRHBCH Sundown Mark V's King has sired 2 World PCH champions and 1 World HBCH.
7 of the 10 World HBCH have been from Ohio, the other 3 from WV, IA and MI.
2 of the 3 World PCH have been from Ohio, the other from MS.
Roy Swafford has handled 4 times in the World HBCH.
I dont believe a non Champion or Grand has won any of the World Championships.

The World HB Championships have been held in WV,OH,IN and VA.
The World P Championships have all been held in Ohio with this years event in Indiana.

Someone help me out if any of this info is incorrect or if you have more trivia. Im working on an article and could use as much World trivia as possible. Thanks Dave

Taylor's Black Magic Ace was in consecutive finals in 2000 and 2001. Chubby finished to HB.CH. at this event, technically i guess he was a registered dog.the finals was also in Michigan in 2001. I think several have placed in the event in consecutive years, I know Seamore, Butler's Fire, Mystery Man these come to mind. Would be some good reading Good Luck.
