UKC...Why was my Dog Thief thread Deleted?

I WANT TO KNOW WHY MY THREAD I POSTED ON HERE LAST NIGHT ABOUT THE GUY STEALING OUR FRIENDS PLOTT DOG OUT OF THE DOG BOX AT WALMART AND GETTING CAUGHT DOING IT GOT TAKEN OFF???

THERE WERE NO NAMES INVOLVED.

THIS IS A HUGE STEP IN LETTING THESE DOG THEIFS KNOW THEY CAN AND WILL GET CAUGHT AND I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS PULLED.

YAL WILL LET ALL KINDS OF OBABMA AND POLITICAL THREADS THAT ARENT COONHOUND RELATED STAY ON HERE, BUT ACTUALLY POST SOMETHING ABOUT A COON HOUND GETTING STOLEN, AND FOR ONCE, OUR RIGHTS AS HOUND OWNERS GET UPHELD, AND BAM. IT'S PULLED.

THAT IS NOT RIGHT.

POSSIBLY BECAUSE

When you publish this type of situation, you cannot state someone is guilty of a crime until he is CONVICTED. You must say he's ALLEGED to be the thief. This is to avoid lawsuits if the person is found innocent for some ridiculous reason.

Could happen

Location & description were given & this could be used in court by a clever attorney. It's a standard policy, as someone might have known this individual & posted his name. The post stated a dog thief was caught. Going to jail only makes him an ALLEGED thief - I'm not taking up for the guy - just know as a reporter you can't state someone is guilty until he's convicted.

an alleged thief was caught removing a plott hound from a dogbox that did not belong to the alleged thief in a walmart parking lot in NC and is now facing jail time.

OK Timeout. I don't see on the moderators board that this thread was deleted. It could have been I guess but it's not typical of a moderator to delete a thread without moving it to the moderators board so the rest of us can see why it was deleted.

As stated above, if a post of that nature contains names it will be taken down. If it doesn't, it should stay unless there were other complications I don't know about.

And don't feel like the lone ranger, one of my posts got dumped somehow too. Happens.

Christy. A guy on this forum was taking advantage of people in the classifieds forums. He took at least 3 people for quite a large combined sum of money. When they posted a reply to his ad and exposed him for what he was doing they were banned.

This crook still posts and swindles on here to this day. It seems UKC protects those who do bad business and bans those on here who try and warn others.

One of the guys who got banned has boycotted all UKC events and refuses to register his dogs with the UKC now because of it. I don't blame him.

Christy....I hope you will take a page out of Sky's book and rewrite your whole post from last night. I was following the thread and something wierd did happen. First it was there, then gone, then back....whatever.

The original information I think was very important and may help others find their dogs....especially you! The timing and everything doesn't sound like this was a random act, or a maiden one.

Keep after it. People haven't forgotten about you or your dog. I am the one that called you that saw the dog, Parker on the Black and Tan Rescue hoping it might be Ace. The power of the web and these kinds of forums gives you such a broad base of contact.

Please consider a rewrite.
