Checking If Papers are real

I'm About to buy a pitbull pup that is "PR" UKC regiestered but i dont know how to check and see if the papers are authentic. I was given the regiestration numbers but i can't get any information. I've been to the kennel's websites and niether the dam or sire is listed.
