anybody tried the the minerals buckets that you take the stuff out of and screw into the trees? i don't know the exact name of them but it's got a mixture of things in it and it screws into a tree like a deer feeder.

I know where two of the Acorn Rage blocks are screwed into trees at. They have both been up around 3 months and not much if anything has touched either one. They are in an area that is thick with coon and deer. For me nothing beats corn in an old tire for attracting and feeding coon.

Its called Prodigy. I've used it and it works great in the winter but melts in the summer.

I tried it..It was crap! Dang squirrels ate most of it..Didnt last long enough for anything...WAAAAAAAAAY to high for what it is..You can make your own anyhow..Do a search on here for it..I made some that was better but still not worth the time to make it AND dont try making it inside..It will melt the crap out of a plastic bowl real FAST!!!!!!!!

In the bucket is cheap dog food. The tire we took and cut three holes around it in the side wall with the rim still on it. Filled the tire half full of water. Add regular shell corn and grape kool aid. I was in serious doubt when I was putting it together. But it works well as you can see. They are about to break me lol. There have been as many as 10 on it at once. Where it sits is not really a good place for coon to be and had no idea I would get the activity I have. We put it out for pups only and so far has worked real well getting them started. We walked pups around it the other night at 11:00 PM they struck off it and we were out of there by 11:30 and they were back feeding on it by mid-night. Its the first time we have put one out. Its close to home and great for the puppies.

do you all pick some where close to a creek or somewhere that they would feed on or do you have 'em n places where coon's are and just want to lure more and keep them close

I have about 10 tires out. I filled them for the last time this year at the first of this month. I keep them out for the pups, and to get the kittens to take off better when they are weaned.

Never have put the Koolaid in them, just corn and water. If you put them close to a water source it is easier to keep them filled up. If there is no water source I just fill up 5 gal. Hydraulic oil buckets and take the water to the feeders.
