What's the best broadhead?
I think i'll try the rage this year. What do yall recommend?
the rage broadheads are the greatest thing since sliced bread
I still like to use good ole Muzzy broad heads, with quick strike arrows.

I shot grim reapers! they fly just as strait as my feild tips and so far have put 5 whitetails down with them and longest track as been 150 yards!!!!!! Make sure you shot what your bow shots well not what your friends shot!!!!
Broadheads
yea i like how the reapers fly, they fly alot better than most fixed blades.

the 1 you killed your last 1 with
As long as it's sharp and you make the right shot, it doesn't matter what you shoot!
I've used Spitfires the last few years and liked them pretty well. This year I switched to a Fuse 85 grain fixed blade and it did a great job. The deer I shot had made a blood trail a blind man could follow.
I've seen some deer this year that were shot with a Rage, I couldn't believe the hole it makes, almost to the point of being nasty!!! It will do the job for sure. wd
A Muzzy is hard to beat. I tryed Wasp JackHammers last year too and liked them also.
G5 Tekans
They are only 3 pieces, fly like a field tip, 1 1/2'' cutting diameter, won't deflect on quartering shots due to rear deployment, and are WAAAAAYYYYYY tougher than the rage. The rage have too many pieces and the weight isn't distributed throughout the ferrul in a way that allows for optimum penetration. I have punched through many, many shoulders with the Tekans and have never had an arrow that didn't pass through. The rage are great as far as cutting, but the penetration sucks. You will get a ton more penetration with the Tekans. Not saying you can't kill deer with all of them if you put it in the right spot, but I have killed deer with a bunch of different broadheads, and there is nothing out there that has performed better than the Tekans for me. JMO.
Plus, Michael Waddell and the rest of the Bone Collectors use them
(They finally caught on lol)

Ive tried them, and they will not cut threw a bone. Them things suck, dont waste your money on them.

I have completely shatter 4 shoulders with complete pass throughs and shot a doe straight down through the spine. The arrow went all the way through, came out her brisket and stuck in the ground and she dropped. When i hung her up and skinned her she fell into two pieces when the skin was pulled off where she was shot. The Tekans completely shattered through her spine. They do more than cut through bone. But hey, if you don't like em' you don't like em,' but ,most of the time it is a poorly placed arrow that makes people not like a particular broadhead....

Dude, trust me I can place an arrow. JMO they suck. dont tell me I cant shoot, cause I can shoot a bow, prolly better then you. If your saying you split the deer in half, then I guess I will have to call you a liar.

Easy there man, i wasn't saying you can't shoot. No need to get defensive. Just stating a fact. Most folks lose faith in a broadhead when they make a bad shot and don't find the deer. And about me being a liar well.... I'm not. The spine was completely severed and as the skin was pulled past the hole the weight of the front half of the deer literally pulled apart the meat between the ribs and the front half of the deer fell onto the ground.
Just trying to guide someone in a good direction about broadheads.... and i wasn't saying the rage were bad... just that they don't hold up like id like if you hit too far into the shoulder. They do cut a crazy hole through a deer.
And about being the best shot.... well
Let's just say I do a little shootin' when i'm not in the woods as well. Have a good one and good luck to everyone this fall!

Any head made by G5 weather it be the tekan, montec, or striker. Also I feel the any Magnus head will suit about anyone also.

It's all good, no worries. One of the best ways to relax and let some frustration out is to stick an arrow through a swamp donkey's (as uncle ted calls em') lungs, and it's almost time!!
Good luck and take it easy.
