The temps are droppin the coon are movin into the Oaks...... It doesn't get much better than this....

I love this time of the year! Here in Camden it was around 50 something but it felt good. Going to run one tonite!

wish i was with you, i'm stuck in a hotel room in winona, ms.

this weather is killing me being over here till thurs. been talking about it with my customers all day, "coon hunting weather". when thur, fri, and sat and the tracks are crappy with the coons laying up in the muscidines and just treeing lay ups but it still beats this hotel room.

Definately love this time of the year, and the next couple of months.
Made four drops two with two dogs together and two single drops. We made five tree's and saw coon in all of them, and a few extra to boot. We cut the dogs loose about 8:20 and we headed home about 10:15. It was a good hunt.

Turned them loose Monday night with 3 trees and going to turn the loose tonight.... Saying close to 40 by in the morning with frost advisories for the Higher WNC Mountains.....

Maybe the snakes will take the hine!!!!

Favorite time of the year

Farmers are out cutting beans right now, some have shelled some corn and I have to wear a sweat shirt when I go huntin. I LOVE IT!!!! Tree'd one last night on the edge of some standing corn with my mut and taking a red pup out this evening. 44 for the low. Oughta be good.

This is the time of the year when we seperate the coondogs from the rest. Just about any dog can run a hot coon out of a cornfield but it takes a coondog to get in there deep on these ridges and hunt up a coon.

i've been loving it lately- I got my drivers liceance back in the summer and I acttually have a few corn fields right close to home- been hunting 5 - 6 nites a week. Didn't go last nite was to windy, hope wind stays down tonite and i'll be back at it.

Turned loose at twilight last night, 10 month old pup made a tree, seen the coon, and made it back home already. I didnt wear a jacket and my teeth were still chattering an hour later. Gonna be a cold,still night here in God's country.
