World hunt verses the TRL

Which would you rather have?

1. Win the UKC World hunt

2. Own 2 GRNTCH's and have them on the current top reproducers list

First I'll take the two on the TRL, then since they're reproducing so well, I'll win the World with one of their pups.

Its kinda like asking whether you want to be the World Series winning pitcher , OR be in the Baseball Hall of Fame?

I thought it would be interesting to see where people put thier Values..

Keep voting!!

Well I guess it depends on what I could win it with!! .....I mean I don't even hunt blue dogs, but it would be cool to be the first person to win the world with a blue!!!! BUT owning 2 GRNITE's on the TRL would be a MAJOR feat as well!!!!

Winning the world hunt, hands down.

Relatively speaking, I think having 2 GrNtCh's on the TRL is easier. You can make 2 decent (not super) dogs into GrntCh. If they are bred to do it and you choose good mates for them, you can raise some decent pups. You, and perhaps others, can take a few of them and knock around at some local hunts and make them NtCh.

A good NtCh percentage does not mean there's anything there thats capable of competing at a high level in several casts or that they have a good handler and some good luck along the way.

Having had a dog on the top of the current TRL for over two years, I would say winning the world hunt. Thats a once in a lifetime for some, definitely only one a year for anyone, whereas 10 dogs are on TRL.

They are both nice though.

Having a dog that can compete at a national level on weekends and keep you happy during the week is my favorite.

#1

i'll take number one ne day of the week, but there again if i won it, it would be pkc and that comes to about 27,000 dollars thats a lot of money right now, alot of people including myself could sure use that, and think of the money you could sale that hound for after the hunt. and not to step on ne toes, but 90% of stud dogs are like styles of clothes, they come and go. its whats hot at the time. give me the world. lol

I'll take the world also

Ive hunted with no less than 3 world ch's, 40 or 50 top 20, and probably at least 100 finalists.

Even got 1 finalist sittin on the couch right now.

About the only difference I saw in any of them depended on the night you were hunting them.

It takes a nice dog to get past zones, after that its as much luck as anything.

I can think of at least 1 world ch Id rather shoot than cut loose agian. He's been gone along time though.

TRL. It's all about being part of the yesterday, today and tomorrow for your breed of choice.

co-sign, plenty of counterfiet grand nites and very average reproducers on the TRL.

TRL can change from month to month, your name never comes off the ukc world champion list. alot more elite company you share on the world champion list.
