Putting on a Walker Sectional?????
We would like to put on a Walker Sectional next year at our club. Can anyone give me some contact information on different Walker associations and who to contact?
Thanks,
Scott
you better check how much they cost your club, you'll probly change your mind real fast unless your club likes to through money away !!
OKAY - here's what WE plan
Our club is thinking about putting on a TW Sectional & A Plott Sectional. But common sense tells us we will need trophy money. So, unless we obtain enough donated to pay for trophies, we won't be having those sectionals. We already have a volunteer donation for the main TW trophies - now we just need some donations for the Plotts.

walker sectionals are expensive, you pay to host the sectional there cost is the highest of all breed assoc.then $5.00 per walker dog enterd to twbfa on top of you normal fees to ukc,if you have someone to donate trophys you might make a little money,if you got a good kitchen that will help but you are not gonna make alot,i am a die hard walker man and will continue to suport the association, but our club will never host another walker sectional, our part of the country is 70% walkers but you may get 8 or 10 at a walker sectional if you are lucky,my advice would be get the trophys donated if you can have a big kitchen get somthing good to raffle off start the raffle a couple months ahead of time advertise the hunt to hunters around you area, and make shure your entrys are 20$ and $20 for the hunt and the show, you may think $20 is high for a bench show but belive me if there gonna show they will pay the $20 that should be excpected for a sectional, contact you state represenitive to set one up,hope this helps,

Thanks for the info. We put on a Bluetick sectional every year, but we are thinking about having breed sectionals for our other two hunts.
Call Alan Kalal, he's the president of TWBFA. 507-332-1960 is his home number. Whitey Marshall used to handle the sectionals but don't know if he does anymore. Mr Kalal can point you in the right direction.
