k9
Anyone used the new k-light K9 LED? The one with the attached cord & the aluminum head peice. Just wondering how it stacks up against the rest. Is it as bright as the old style lights?, & wiil it flood a tree, or is it a real tight spot only like the rest of the LED's?

if k light makes it-wear it. they make one hell of a light, and i know a couple guys that have them, and they love them. and they arent your average 2-3 nights a week hunter they both hunt 6-7 nites a week. the highest setting on spot is brighter than most 21 volt spot light, 10 hours on the spot side and 300 hrs on the flood side. yea i will be buying mine at the pkc world.
Re: luke
quote:I talked to miss Judie yesterday with mike in the back ground the light is brighter than the smart light LO-20 hrs and HI- 10 hrs at retail $135. They make one at the same price with a bigger batery with LO-50 hrs and Hi- 17 but Ms Judie said it kinda threw the head gear off balance but with a hard hat it doesn't really matter. I will be buying the latter of the two. I JUST WISH SOMEONE WOULD COME OUT WITH A BOONIE HAT WITH A LIGHT ON IT. I wear glasses and when it rains I catch it, thats why I have been wearing a soft cap.

just so you know i was talking bout the k9l , i didnt know they had a cordless light. gunnna have to check those out, thanx for the info bud.
I bought my wife a smart light and I am one that won't give up my 28 volt nite light for one. It is great for shine time but isn't bright enough and the beam isn't broad enough for me to use it when the clock is running on spoting a coon. They are great lights I just hope they bring the brightness up in the future. For fun hunting they are great and cheap. You just have to shine one limb at a time. Mine will light up the whole tree like day light. Most of the time the coon doesn't have to look at me. I shine on low first and if they don't look. I turn it up on high. Another thing about the brightness of it is if you can get the light on the coon they will squal out real easy.

Re: k9
quote:i got the k9L light at autumn oaks, and traded in a 21 volt k light and wouldnt trade back for nothing, it has a rocker switch on the bottom and one side is a walk light and the other is a tight, bright, spot that is just about as bright as my spotlight was on the light i traded in, it weighs a pound and a half i think, super nice light!

Check this out.
Thanks to all for the info on the K9. Been interested in the LED market for a while & from what I can see this one would suit me better than most other models out there.
i had the k9l for a month or so and really like it. it took a day or two before i got use to the white light but now i wouldnt go back. ive had more coon look at the flood light than ever before. most of the time i see the coon before i get to the tree. 3 buddies have switched to the k9 and they dont want there old lights back either
