question about heads for lights?

Im lookin at a new L E D 5100 head for my 21v light light.
the head fits 12-28v lights
my question do i have to have the same brand of hesad for the same brand of light.?

for example Nite Lite 5100 Style LED Headlamp put on an S&S battery?
