Going to Watch Tailgate Adventures???

It’s just weeks away, and I hope everyone is as excited as we are! Finally hounds and tree dogs get their spotlight on National Television!!!

With that said, here are some developments and other points of interest:

•I’ve heard of some complaints about folks with DishNetwork that can’t get channel 230, ICTV. I’ve talked to the network, and they have confirmed that if that’s the case, there’s something wrong. Channel 230 is on the basic subscription of DishNetwork, and so everyone with Dish (not yet DirecTV) should have access. If you don’t, call DishNetwork to find out what they need to fix, to make it so.
•ICTV will launch on DirecTV in January… channel to be determined.
•We have changed one of our air times. We were concerned about folks heading to hunts on Saturday afternoon, so we changed that airing to Sunday evening at 6:00 PM. So to be clear, we have airings on Wednesday morning at 7:30, Friday evening at 7:00 and Sunday evening at 6:00.
•We’re also going to launch advanced DVD sales for delivery before Christmas, so keep an eye on the website. It will be a multiple DVD collection of all our episodes.
•We’re also going to start filming our second season this Fall, so if you’re interested in sponsoring the show, please contact me.

Happy hunting and we hope you enjoy the show!

Can I submit pics of the divorce party as well LOL.

Here is the deal.

We buy air time on the network, in this case In Country TV (ICTV), which currently is ONLY on Dish Network, channel 230. They air the show... currently on DISH NETWORK Channel 230.

In January of 2010, ICTV has signed a contract with Direct TV to air on that platform as well. Until that time, the show will only be on DISH network....

Up until such a time as ICTV sells air time to a cable company...we are bound by contract to only where ICTV is aired.

If you are REALLY interested, petition the cable company to carry ICTV.....

Obviously we would not have launched a National television show, and devoted all this time, money and effort, unless our goal was to promote and grow our sport.

We've attempted to provide a good cross-section of coverage, from cur dogs to beagles, to big game hounds and from pleasure hunting to competition hunting. The majority of those "hunts" are in a "catch and release" format to focus on the relationship with the dogs, and not the kill. We do have a few hunts where we take game, and aren't opposed to it, but that's not our focus.

Wish yall much sucess. Been wishing someone would do this for a long time - I'll be tuning in whenever I can! Just curios if you tried to work a deal with the Outdoor Channel? Never heard of the one yall hooked up with, but I checked and do have it on the Dish. Good luck!

We have to buy air time to be aired on "outdoor" TV, and the Outdoor Channel's fees are 6-8 times the cost of the other networks. So the economics just don't work out for us and our sponsors.

Also, the Outdoor Channel is a premium channel, which means folks would have to pay extra to watch our show if we were on their network, and with being on the basic subscription package of DishNetwork and DirecTV, we will have many more households than the Outdoor Channel.

Thanks for the best wishes!

10-4 figured it was something like that.

Posted by Lee Stocking on 09-24-2009 04:36 PM:

Im on Dish, have the channel. Looked on the guide 9/27 @ 6:00 pm to record and what I see is Sportsmen of North America. Info says "Join the team as they trek around North America to bring you heart pounding action". I dont see anyting about Tailget Adventures. I went to the Tailgate web addy and then looked up Fri at 7pm and found 7 tools in 1.

Am I looking for Sportsman of NA?
