Looking For Vacation Spots To Hunt

Have any of you ever heard of places to go coon hunting like the places you go for a guided elk or bear hunt? I would like to take myself and my dog to different places. I would like to go to one of those places where they put you up and give you a guided hunt. But the best part would be to take your own hound. I went to W.V. earlier in the year and hunted with a friend (and boy did those mountians kick my butt). Had a blast and would like to go to new places. I think I would like to go in the late fall, early winter so I can look up in the trees to see the coon. I like to compition hunt some but have come to realize I get more out of just going and having a good time. This way when my dog acts like a living being and is not perfect I can try and smile just go to the next drop and start over. Thanks

That was something I wanted to do when I retired, was to load my dog up and drive to different states to hunt but authritis in my knees took care of that, now I just think about it and hope I can get a good enough show dog to do it with.
I`m over here in Texas and our deer season starts in 2 weeks so most of our coon hunting is shut down but in Jan. you are welcome to come over here and hunt with me and my wife. We have excess to two thousand acres behind my house and a friend up the road has several to hunt on.
