2009 Texas State Saturday Nite Hunt

After rainy conditions here in Madisonville all day the weather let up for a while at draw out time. Tonite we sent 72 dogs to the woods to hopefully pick up a win on there Hounds and hopefully claim the title of 2009 Texas UKC Nite Hunt Champion. They have a tuff row to hoe to come back in with a score big enuff to beat 625+ points score on friday nite.Tonites MAster of Hounds is Charlie Mathews from Alvin,Texas.

Today we also had a raffle goin for two days for a Garmin Astro DC-30. That raffle was won by David Walpole from Floresville,Tx.

Each year the TSCHA gives out special awards for Club of the Year,Sportsman of the Year and Director of the Year. The Club of the Year and Sportsman of the year and nominated by the local clubs. Those winners are: Club Of the year is the Lamar County Coonhunters Association from Paris,Tx. The Sportsmen of the Year is Mr Gene Neal from Kingwood,Tx.

The Director of the Year was Betty Mathews from Alvin,Tx.

We are also proud to welcome to new members to the Borad of Directors of TSCHA are Preston Boles from Honey Grove Tx. , and Roxanne Taylor from Harper,Tx.

Congrats to Gene Neal and Betty Matthews.They could not have picked better people for these awards.Also thanks to Floyd Daniels for a job well done as Friday night Master of Hounds.

sorry for the day folks,,,,,,,,i slept a good part of the day just gettin home at 7 am this morning,,,,,when i woke up , no signal with heavy rain and storms around plays havoc with my wireless signalwith me livin off the beatin path back in the sticks round Alto.....
