a bench question

Okay....I have a female that dislocated one of her back legs a couple of weeks ago while hunting. She is now putting all her weight back on it and it looks almost normal but you can look at the leg and tell something don't look right. What I am wondering is even though the rulebook says injuries from hunting are not to count when a dog is being judged in a bench show, how much will the leg affect her chances in a bench show???

You need to get a letter from your vet describing the injury and stating that it happened while hunting. When you enter the dog in a bs show it to the judge before the show accutually starts. The bs judge is not supose to count off for the injury that happened while hunting.

I usually mention it when gaiting the dog to the judge or during the hands on check. Few judges actually require a Vet's statement for something obvious.

Yeah it is noticable. The lower part of her back leg now angles outward alittle bit instead of straight.
