HOLY SHARK !!!
I took a little break from my hounds, and drove out to Delaware beach this weekend for a little " surf fish sharkin" from the shore....
Hooked and landed this 8 foot, 250 pound Sand Tiger shark......it was an awesome 40 minute battle....walking up and down the beach......my whole body was sore.....We got him beached, snapped a few pic's, and released him.......and watched the big boy swim away.....
These Sand Tigers almost look prehistoric.......Makes you think twice about going for a swim in the ocean
LOL !!!!
hope you enjoy the photo's
Stan

Gezz Stan That ones a Horse !! Man if you knew my shark Reip. You would'nt have let it go !!

COOL BEANS!
We used to do Blue Shark fishing(not from beach....) My biggest was the size yours was... not a keeper but got tagged and released along with all the other little ones I got. My dad and 2 sisters held world records for ages... got beat by a MONSTER blue...SHUDDER! I think one sister still holds a record for a real light test line...not sure though. LOVED to get out in the Atlantic fishing... Memories of my dad that I cherish... LOVE the fight...but even better when you're out on the boat, chumming away and WAITING and waiting in the still salt air...the you hear "click click click WHIRrrrrrrrrr........." as the line take off... My pulse races now! LOL.. I have too many physical injuries to fish for a BIG fish now...but my body and mind recall the feeling! LOVE to see the movie JAWS... and hear that click click there too
As for you, Steve... AKKKkkk! SCARY... we sold our Boston whaler with a set of world record teeth in the side! I nearly got bit by my other sister's record ON the boat! I have never been in the ocean since my sister got one...a disasterous one... in waters just outside the Harbor in Rockport MA... My dad lost his fingers that trip in the wire leader...I was home to see the bloody mess after my sister cut the line and drove the boat home...My dad MADE her keep fighting cause it was a HUGE record, bigger than the boat... once he passed out she brought him home for help...he was FURIOUS she didn't get her shark! LOL... Yup... never have set foot in the Atlantic since... not deeper than my ankles at least....
