I can only speak for my own dogs. I have 2 studs. Dual Gr.Ch.Littlejohn's Little Arkie and Dual Gr.Ch. Littlejohn's Blue Rock. I never had to worry about Arkie with off game, he might tree a possum or even run a deer every once in awhile when he was a yearling but never even needed discipline, one of the straightest dogs I have owned and maybe the best "coondog" me or my dad has owned. Now my Rock dog is off Arkie, and is the straightest dog I have ever saw. He just turned 6 years old and has never not once run anything other than a coon! And to boot he is one of the hardest hunting, lots of go, type dogs you will find, big, big mouth, and does throw "treedogs". All this can be verified by plenty of refrences.

In my own opinion......

Just from what I have heard, and I have done some calling around, I would breed any good female to Mulberry River Blue.....he excels in bout every area, and his pups are early startin, lay up, pressure tree dogs, that are making very nice hounds....once again, only hearsay, but worth checkin into.....if he was still around, I would definitely say Runnin bullet, too bad hes gone......

you will not find

a more naturally trash free stud than i have in rock. he is a dual grand that has never had a shocker on him and has trained pups and more than held his own in competition. he doesnt need a leash when hunted and i can show you offspring that are as naturally trash free and eager to please as he is. they are also head up track drifting style dogs that once they locate and pick their tree go deaf to what is going on around them. you are close and i would be happy to show you.

That Rock sounds like what I'm looking for.Where you located?.Do you ship frozen, private treaty, pup?I don't know what this female is gonna throw and don't want to sink alot of money on her first cross. She's not real impressive on paper but her mouth is golden.Shes also a little weak on the tree (won't hold pressure)and a little trashy.Which explains what I'm looking for.Heres her pedigree for those of a curious nature.

GRNITCH Grahams Blue TnT
NITECH Stitts Lone Oak Blue Buck
NITECH Grahams Blue Honey
PR Conemaugh River Blue Tomahawk
GRNITECH Coz Spare Time Spanky
Pr Stitts Lone Oak Blue Rose
NITCH Grahams Blue Honey

female

GRNITECH Grahams Blue TnT
NITECH Stitts Lone Oak Blue Buck
NITECH Grahams Blue Honey
Pr Conemaugh River Blue Sioux
NITECH Bobs Toot
Pr Tannery Run Blue Belle
Pr Bobs Blue Fannie

Ok,I'd like more info on both Rocks. If you prefer you can email me at cndgmn@yahoo.com

e-mail me and we will work it out

i am in east central ohio and would be happy to breed for a choice pup as long as she will tree a coon on her own and opens on track.rock also has jetv in his ped. and has crossed well on the females with the sioux valley dogs in their pedigree.only money out of your pocket will be getting her here and testing for disease. warren

As you can guess, I am an English man. The reason I am responding is that when I tell folks I have a naturally straight line of dogs, people say I am not telling the truth or that I don't know what I am talking about. It is nice to hear about other dogs that are known to be naturally straight.

You should go see Warren's Rock and his offspring.... I owned some of Rock's kin back in the 80's and they are for real coondogs... What part of Pa. are you in ???? I'm near Pittsburgh.....

I agree with you on this one, Dave. Natural straightness is a trait that can be bred for just like any other trait. Trashy dogs pass their tendencies along too.

I recently purchased one of Rock's offspring, Nt. Ch. Will's Creek Diamond Dandy and I can tell you he is as straight as they come. Will not run trash, is not ill in any way, and is a split treeing machine. He has a mouth that is out of this world, and has the disposition of a spoiled house dog. I plan on hunting him in the hunts and finishing him to Gr.Nt. after the weather cools down some. I can't take the the summer heat, and I am not afraid to hunt him in competion when the leaves are off, as he is the most accurate tree dog I have had the pleasure of owning. Feel free to cal me or email me if you have any questions, you will not go wrong breeding to Rock.

the mulberry blue river dog, i have a pup off him (16 months old). he likes one win to be a dual grand. he is strait, no trash at all. all of his wins has come from a 8 year old girl. he is easy to call. she hunted him in his first RQE last night and now he is qualified for the world hunt. folks if anyone wants to see what mulberry blue river is throwing, pm me and come on by we will take just the young dog hunting, and you can see for yourselfs. this is not to knock no one else is dog, by no means. there are some great ones out there. i want another river pup. there are folks around here that does not hunt blue dogs, that is saying there wanting a river pup. i hope this dont sound like bragging about my pup, because these are just facts ive stated...... gary woods

I have to agree with choppin axe andBlue Style and say Mulberry Blue River. I have a 3 month old pup out of River. He is the most intelligent pup I have ever owned. He is already coming when called. I do not use a lead on him anymore,He follows beside me without one.Awesome mouth and very beautiful. I would definitely recommend getting a River pup or breeding your female to him.

warren sturtz rock dog

is a repoducer as i hunted with the ben dog out of rock and i saw that dog on 3 drops hold his own tree with other dogs running and split tree and hold his tree and treed for 45min.-1 1/2 hrs till we could get to the top of the mountain to get to him.and saw the meat 2 out of 3 times and i am sure we would have seen the 3rd coon if it hadn't been for all the leaves.

i mainly feed walkers but will give credit where it's due.and warren has some good stock if you want to tree and see coon.i have a pup on back order out of his stock.

not saying the other blue dogs aren' good too ,just saying what i know about warren's stock.if you are close and got more than 1 good blue female ,it would be to your advantage to breed at least one to warren's stock.

these dogs got good conformation too. too bad they got all those ticks . they might be pretty as those walkers on the bench if it wasn't for the ticks.lol.....

Where is the Mulberry Blue River dog located and who has him.

Posted by Mulberry Blue on 08-24-2003 07:33 PM:

River Retirement Home

Redman, River is in Cartersville, Ga. I can't get anybody to haul him off without charging me so I guesss I'll just have to let him stay here until and through retirement. Harry Pradon.

Posted by cndgmn on 08-25-2003 01:41 AM:

Yep,its a friend of Eds that has the male.He took him to nitech but never tried to finish him.Thats not paramount to me though.

Someone close is convient but not always the best choice. It'll probably take me a month to decide.Any others?
